Lisa Malcolm, LICSW, PMH-C

Surrounded by wheat fields and close in proximity to Washington State University and the University of Idaho, I specialize in mental health along the Reproductive Health Continuum and Parenting Education.

I have received extensive postgraduate training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Traumatic Birth, Miscarriage and Loss, Infertility, and hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification. I also have the great joy of supporting parents as they move towards deepening their relationships with their children, working to become mindful and grounded in their parenting approach. Therapy approaches draw from Attachment Based Strategies, Interpersonal Neurobiology approaches, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, My experience in Social Services spans 20 years and includes Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocacy, Juvenile Justice, Court Appointed Special Advocacy, and Psychiatry Research.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming. I welcome all family structures and offer therapy to both the gestating / birthing partner and the non-gestating / non-birthing partner.

I graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2001 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Social Welfare, and Portland State University in 2012 with a Master of Social Work. While attending Portland State, I was honored to receive the inaugural Astrid Schlaps Memorial Scholarship (awarded to students specializing in trauma.)

I have lived in Pullman since 2012, obtaining licensure in 2015. I am currently licensed in Washington and Idaho. Therapy is offered in person or via telehealth.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, daughter, and golden retriever. Taking advantage of the fullness of the area, we enjoy hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
